Francis Scott Key was a gifted amateur poet. Inspired by the sight of the American flag flying over Fort McHenry the morning after the bombardment, he scribbled the initial verse of his song on the back of a letter. Back in Baltimore, he completed the four verses (PDF) and copied them onto a sheet of paper, probably making more than one copy. A local printer issued the new song as a broadside. Shortly afterward, two Baltimore newspapers published it, and by mid-October it had appeared in at least seventeen other papers in cities up and down the East Coast.

"Open Skies Agreements" are bilateral or multilateral agreements between the U.S. Government and the governments of foreign countries that allow travelers to use foreign air carriers from these countries for government-funded international travel. Many Open Skies Agreements exist but only (4) four agreements meet Fly America Act requirements which the key factor is the statement for "U.S. Government Procured Transportation: in either the Article or Annex of the agreement.
The agreement with the European Union (EU) permits the use of an EU air carrier for travel outside the United States. Iceland and Norway are not EU members, but are members of the EU air treaty. This is the only one of these four agreements that allows for an origin or destination in a third country as long as the flight stops in the EU.

A long-standing question in nuclear physics is whether chargeless nuclear systems can exist. To our knowledge, only neutron stars represent near-pure neutron systems, where neutrons are squeezed together by the gravitational force to very high densities. The experimental search for isolated multi-neutron systems has been an ongoing quest for several decades1, with a particular focus on the four-neutron system called the tetraneutron, resulting in only a few indications of its existence so far2,3,4, leaving the tetraneutron an elusive nuclear system for six decades. Here we report on the observation of a resonance-like structure near threshold in the four-neutron system that is consistent with a quasi-bound tetraneutron state existing for a very short time. The measured energy and width of this state provide a key benchmark for our understanding of the nuclear force. The use of an experimental approach based on a knockout reaction at large momentum transfer with a radioactive high-energy 8He beam was key.
In this work, we used the quasi-elastic knockout of an α-particle (4He nucleus) from a high-energy 8He projectile induced by a proton target to populate a possible tetraneutron state. The inverse-kinematics knockout reaction \(^8\rmHe(\rmp,\,\rmp^4\rmHe)\) at large momentum transfer is well suited because the 8He nucleus has the pronounced cluster structure of an α-core (4He) and four valence neutrons with small 4n centre-of-mass motion, such that after the sudden removal of the α-particle, a rather localized four-neutron system with small relative energy between the neutrons is produced, which may have a large overlap with a tetraneutron state12,13. The chosen kinematics at large momentum transfer between the proton and the α-particle ensures that the four-neutron system will recoil only with the intrinsic momentum of the 4He core in the 8He rest frame, without any further momentum transfer, thus allowing the recoil-less production. Furthermore, final-state interactions between the four neutrons and the charged particles are also minimized owing to the large momentum transfer, separating charged reaction partners from the neutron spectators in momentum space (Fig. 1).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the most commonly known producer and distributor of U.S. aeronautical charts. Domestic aeronautical charts and related publications can be obtain from the FAA distribution center and through a network of various sales agents. A free publication, Aeronautical Charts and Related Products, includes a list of dealers, and descriptions of the charts and publications distributed by the FAA.
The date of an aeronautical chart is important. Critical changes occur constantly, and it is important for users to have up-to-date charts. To ensure that only the latest charts are used, FAA publishes Dates of Latest Edition, available free from FAA distribution centers and sales agents.
